About The Position

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer pool in Electrical and Computer Engineering for part-time teaching appointments. The position is for temporary faculty. The department offers B.S and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering and a B.S. in Computer Engineering serving a diverse student body of approximately 1500 students. The graduate and undergraduate curricula include a large number of laboratories where students experience the practical application of concepts learned in the classroom. Additionally, a capstone design project including both design and implementation is required of all undergraduates. The Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering B.S. degrees are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET. The primary focus of the ECE degree programs is on students who plan to go to work as engineers right after graduation.

Requirements

A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline in the field relevant to the curriculum or related discipline.
Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence in engineering.

Nice To Haves

A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline
Prior teaching experience at the college or university level and ability to furnish evidence of strong teaching.
Relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

Teach assigned division courses in the department’s curriculum and serve weekly office hours based on assigned teaching unit load.
Assignments may include day, evening, and/or weekend courses.
