About The Position

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has an opening in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department as an Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, serving as a primary point of contact for faculty, staff, students, and visitors. This role manages departmental communications, records, and office operations; coordinates meetings, travel, events, faculty searches, and other activities; and serves as a resource on departmental and university policies and procedures. Responsibilities include maintaining websites and departmental resources, supporting budget and payment processes, assisting with student employee administration, and coordinating specialized functions such as accreditation activities, student awards, course pre-registration, professional development tracking, summer programs, and administrative support for research programs, competition teams, and departmental projects. The position performs additional duties as assigned to support departmental and institutional objectives.

Requirements

  • Associate degree
  • Three to five years of professional work experience
  • Varying education/experience may be considered in lieu of the other
