About The Position

GEO Next Generation Academy-Indianapolis is a free K-12+ public charter school building a team of excellence. It is one of the few Indiana schools offering an early college program, allowing qualifying high school students to take real college courses for real college credit, free of charge. The curriculum and teaching methods are designed using Core Knowledge in K-8, Project Lead the Way beginning in middle school, and a blended learning model in middle school through high school. Teachers cultivate critical thinking skills in students to understand the world and become leaders and agents of positive change.

Requirements

• Commitment to the mission and organizational goals of GEO Academies
• Be a current High School Student at GEO Next Generation Academy-Indianapolis
• Carry a consistent 3.0 Grade Point Average

Responsibilities

• Motivate and support students in reaching high levels of academic success
• Maintain high behavioral expectations for all students
• Perform targeted individual assistance and small group tutoring
• Maintain frequent communication with students and their support network regarding academic progress
• Communicate and collaborate with teachers and school administrators
• Participate in staff development opportunities
• Ensure the security of computer equipment and accessories
• Uphold all school policies
