About The Position

A student academic tutor will be asked and expected to tutor student-athletes in various courses. All tutoring will take place in the McClendon Center for Intercollegiate Athletics and will range based on student-athlete need and tutor availability. Tutoring sessions will include 1-3 student-athletes and are expected to last 45 minutes.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in the Fall 2026 Term as an undergraduate student in good standing at the University of Oklahoma.
• Earned a B or higher in the specific course to be tutored or have been awarded a degree in that area.
• Capable of tutoring the specified courses.
• Ability to effectively communicate course material while engaging with student-athletes in a positive manner.
• Willing and able to communicate and build relationships with various groups of students.
• Willing and able to gain and maintain working knowledge of university, SEC, and NCAA rules and regulations.
• Willing and able to adhere to standards of conduct for Athletics Academics Tutorial Staff.

Responsibilities

• Tutor student-athletes in various courses.
• Conduct tutoring sessions for 1-3 student-athletes, each lasting 45 minutes.
• Communicate course material effectively while engaging with student-athletes positively.
• Build relationships with various groups of students.
• Gain and maintain working knowledge of university, SEC, and NCAA rules and regulations.
• Adhere to standards of conduct for Athletics Academics Tutorial Staff.
