About The Position

Handle financial transactions for customers in a confidential and accurate manner, while also providing excellent customer service. This role involves executing PREMIER customer service by greeting all customers promptly, processing transactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining confidentiality, and understanding the features and benefits of First PREMIER Bank’s products and services. It also includes processing transactions such as deposits and withdrawals, cashing checks, Savings Bonds, and receiving payments (loans, credit cards, credit lines). The role requires following mandatory procedures to ensure quality standards and adherence to regulatory and internal codes of conduct. Additionally, it involves reviewing account information, assisting customers with problems or questions, keeping customer information current using internal systems, performing branch opening and closing duties independently, and managing and balancing a cash drawer daily according to teller performance standards. Maintaining daily and monthly reports is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills; clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic computer skills, cash handling, customer service and/or banking experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute PREMIER customer service by greeting all customers promptly, processing transactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining confidentiality, and understanding the features and benefits of First PREMIER Bank’s products and services.
  • Process transactions including deposits and withdrawals, cashed checks, Savings Bonds, and receipt of payments (loans, credit cards, credit lines).
  • Follow a range of mandatory procedures to ensure that work is carried out to the required quality standards and/or to ensure adherence to external regulatory and internal codes of conduct.
  • Review account information, help customers with problems or questions and keep customer information current using internal systems.
  • Perform the branch opening and closing duties independently.
  • Manage a cash drawer and balance it daily according to teller performance standards.
  • Maintain daily and monthly reports such as Teller Difference, Mail/Instrument Counts, Record Retention, etc.
