About The Position

The scope of work involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures under the supervision of a registered radiographer, maintaining patient care and safety during procedures, and ensuring equipment and supplies are available. The role also includes coordinating and performing routine diagnostic and fluoroscopic procedures, portable x-rays, and trauma and surgery procedures, all while adhering to the Corewell philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Currently in accredited Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine Technology and/or Ultrasonography program at 2nd year student level.
• Must have completed the first year of an accredited imaging program.
• Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers Course from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Under direct or indirect supervision of a registered radiographer, performs diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Assume responsibility and maintains the general care and safety of patients during imaging procedures.
• Assures equipment/supplies are present and accounted for at beginning and end of each imaging procedure.
• Under direct or indirect supervision of a registered radiographer, coordinates and performs routine diagnostic and fluoroscopic procedures, portable x-rays, trauma and surgery procedures according to established standards and practices.
• Follows Corewell philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.
