About The Position

The Student Technical Assistant provides technology and audiovisual support for Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. This position assists faculty, staff, students, and guests with classroom technology, event support, audiovisual equipment setup, troubleshooting, and general technical operations. Student assistants help ensure that instructional spaces and events operate smoothly while delivering excellent customer service and technical support.

Responsibilities

Provide basic technical and audiovisual support for classrooms, meetings, events, and special programs.
Assist with the setup, operation, troubleshooting, and breakdown of audiovisual equipment and technology systems.
Support faculty, staff, students, and guests with technology-related questions and issues.
Monitor classroom and event technology to ensure proper functionality and operational readiness.
Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor in both routine and high-pressure situations.
Assist with equipment inventory, organization, documentation, and maintenance tasks.
Learn and follow departmental procedures and technology support protocols.
Communicate technical issues and service needs to professional staff in a timely manner.
Maintain assigned work schedules and demonstrate reliability and accountability.
Assist with special projects and departmental initiatives as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned.
