About The Position
The Technology Initiatives department is seeking a Student Technical Aide to assist students in selecting the appropriate technology for their academic majors. This role involves helping students with fundamental computer operations, such as connecting to WiFi, and facilitating the laptop loaner and repair programs. Paid training will be provided.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal skills and outstanding English language skills.
- Enjoy working with people and helping them solve problems.
- Understands technology well, and can help students understand how to use computers and iPads and software.
- Active enrollment as a student at Tulane University.
Nice To Haves
- Other languages are a bonus.
- Customer service background or a retail store background.
- Ideal applicant will be in your first or second year of schooling at Tulane.
- A Federal Work Study Award (potentially).
- Prior or active enrollment in a particular class or course of study (potentially).
- Prior, relative experience with or working knowledge of relative software, programs, and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Help students select the right technology for their major.
- Assist students with basic computer functions, such as logging into WiFi.
- Facilitate the repair program.
- Facilitate the laptop loaner program.
