Student Support Staff
About The Position
Student Support Staff help maintain a safe, secure, and positive school environment. The role involves monitoring student safety, supporting staff and administration, building positive relationships, enforcing security procedures, and promoting a respectful and welcoming atmosphere for students, employees, and visitors. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, required background clearances, and the ability to develop rapport with students and adults. Public safety experience is preferred but not required. Candidates must also be accurate record keepers and fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English. All required clearances must comply with Pennsylvania Department of Education criteria for hire.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Act 151, Act 34, Act 24, and FBI background clearances that comply with Pennsylvania Department of Education criteria for hire.
- Ability to develop an effective rapport with students and adults.
- Accurate record-keeping ability.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
