About The Position

The Student Success & Hybrid Programs Specialist serves as a key member of the campus student services and academic support team. This position is primarily responsible for supporting the success, retention, engagement, and persistence of students enrolled in hybrid programs while also coordinating campus student success and restart initiatives. The Student Success & Hybrid Programs Specialist contributes to the achievement of campus retention, persistence, and restart goals through proactive student outreach, intervention, support, and follow-up activities. The Specialist builds strong relationships with students, faculty, staff, and institutional partners to identify barriers to student success, provide proactive support, and facilitate student re-entry and retention efforts. The role requires a student-centered approach, strong communication skills, organizational effectiveness, and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments to achieve student success and institutional goals. Responsible for executing proactive student outreach, intervention, retention, and re-engagement activities that support achievement of campus retention, persistence, and restart goals.

  • Additional training or experience in education, student services, advising, retention, or related fields preferred.
  • Experience with student information systems such as CampusVue preferred.
  • Experience in student advisement, engagement, retention, or related student support services preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and document remediation activities for applicants who do not successfully complete the Online Competency Assessment
  • Conduct and manage delivery of the Online Student Success Course and Orientation to Online Learning
  • Maintain ongoing communication and documented engagement with hybrid program students throughout their enrollment.
  • Monitor student attendance, participation, and academic progress in online courses.
  • Initiate, conduct, and document intervention meetings with students experiencing academic or attendance concerns. Including students who: Are below passing for two consecutive weeks. Have not attended an online class for seven days or more.
  • Manage student support requests related to online coursework and learning resources and ensure timely resolution or referral.
  • Conduct intervention meetings with referred at-risk students and document action plans and outcomes.
  • Provide first-level support for common LMS access, login, navigation, and course participation issues and escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate technical support resource.
  • Coordinate referrals to campus resources and monitor completion of identified student support actions.
  • Execute mid-module, mid-term, and retention intervention strategies for students demonstrating academic risk.
  • Review and document student interactions, concerns, and interventions in CampusVue or other student information systems.
  • Coordinate cross-functional student success initiatives with faculty, staff, and host institution representatives.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Serve as the campus coordinator for student restart and re-engagement initiatives.
  • Manage campus restart and student re-engagement initiatives and associated student outreach activities.
  • Explain restart options, answer student questions, and guide students through the re-entry process.
  • Guide students through completion of required restart documentation and administrative requirements.
  • Manage interdepartmental communication and scheduling necessary to support student re-entry and persistence.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records and contact information in CampusVue and related systems.
  • Monitor, document, and manage follow-up activities for restart students through successful re-entry.
  • Execute retention and re-engagement programs designed to support high-risk and returning students.
  • Prepare and distribute restart reports, communications, and supporting materials as requested.
  • Plan, coordinate, and participate in orientations, information sessions, student engagement activities, and campus recruiting events.
  • Identify and communicate barriers impacting student retention, persistence, and restart outcomes.
  • Execute outreach, intervention, and re-engagement activities that support achievement of campus retention, persistence, restart, and student success goals.
  • Coordinate communication between students and campus personnel to remove barriers and support successful student outcomes.
  • Participate in institutional committees, meetings, and special projects.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute campus events, orientations, graduations, student engagement initiatives, and related social media activities.
  • Prepare, maintain, and submit required reports, data, and compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate assigned cross-functional projects and operational support activities with campus departments.
  • Complete professional development and training activities.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the Dean/Director of Education or campus leadership to support institutional operations and student success.
