About The Position

The Student Success Graduate Assistant will assist with programming and events, promote activities within the Student Success Center, hold study table/office hours, work with students one-on-one to improve study skills, and create content for social media. This position requires a 2-year consecutive commitment, working 20-30 hours per week, including some evening and weekend hours. The start date is August 17th, 2026. The assistant must maintain passing grades in their enrolled graduate coursework.

Requirements

Must be accepted as a full-time, degree-seeking student in the UJ Leadership graduate program.
Demonstrate commitment to the mission of the University of Jamestown.
Demonstrate ability to be self-motivated, self-reflective, and to conduct oneself in an ethical and professional manner.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Must maintain passing grades in enrolled graduate coursework.

Responsibilities

Assist with programming and events.
Promoting activities/programming in the Student Success Center
Hold a minimum of 10 regularly scheduled study table/office hours in the Student Success Center.
Work with students one-on-one to improve their study skills.
Create content for social media.
