About The Position

The Student Success Facilitator partners with school staff, students, and families to improve student engagement, attendance, behavior, and social-emotional outcomes. The position provides targeted Tier 1, Tier 2, and selected Tier 3 supports through behavioral intervention, student coaching, restorative practices, family engagement, and implementation of evidence-based strategies that promote student success. Working collaboratively with school teams, the Student Success Facilitator helps identify barriers to learning, develops and supports intervention plans, and builds student skills necessary for successful participation in school.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, counseling, human services, child development, or a related field required.
  • Experience working with students exhibiting behavioral, social-emotional, attendance, or engagement challenges.
  • Experience implementing Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions within a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework.
  • Knowledge of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), restorative practices, trauma-informed practices, and social-emotional learning.
  • Experience collaborating with families to address barriers impacting student success.
  • Experience conducting home visits and connecting families with community resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to de-escalate challenging situations and support students in developing self-regulation skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively with teachers, counselors, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to support student outcomes.
  • Ability to collect, interpret, and utilize student data to inform interventions and monitor progress.
  • Demonstrated cultural responsiveness and ability to build trusting relationships with students and families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to navigate difficult conversations while maintaining positive relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with student support teams to identify students requiring additional behavioral, social-emotional, attendance, or engagement supports.
  • Implement targeted interventions designed to improve student self-regulation, engagement, attendance, and school success.
  • Support individual and small-group coaching focused on social skills, conflict resolution, self-management, problem-solving, and emotional regulation.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring targeted intervention plans.
  • Collect and analyze student data to inform intervention decisions and monitor effectiveness.
  • Support implementation of evidence-based behavioral and engagement practices.
  • Partner with families to identify barriers impacting attendance, engagement, behavior, and academic success.
  • Conduct home visits, when appropriate, to strengthen school-family partnerships and improve student outcomes.
  • Connect families with school and community resources to address identified needs.
  • Facilitate restorative conversations, conflict resolution, and relationship-building processes.
  • Support student re-entry and reintegration following behavioral incidents.
  • Promote student accountability while maintaining positive relationships and school connectedness.
  • Support implementation of proactive behavioral strategies and provide intervention support for students experiencing behavioral, social-emotional, or engagement challenges.
  • Facilitate structured student engagement opportunities that promote positive peer interactions, inclusion, and social skill development.
  • Support students requiring structured environments and targeted social-emotional supports during unstructured school settings.
  • Implement regulation and engagement strategies identified through school-based intervention plans.
  • Model and reinforce implementation of schoolwide social-emotional learning and positive behavior systems.
  • Provide classroom support to reinforce proactive strategies and engagement.
  • Assist in organizing and facilitating structured recess games and activities.
  • Supervise alternative or indoor recess spaces to maintain safe, regulated environments.
  • Assist with implementation and monitoring of Check-In/Check-Out (CICO) and other behavioral interventions.
  • Exhibit strong de-escalation skills in escalated situations.
