Under the direction of the Director, Student Success, and the COS Tulare Campus Provost or designee, the Student Success Coordinator will be assigned to the District’s disproportionately impacted groups and will employ best practices in an effort to increase student success. These practices include but are not limited to the following: regular and frequent contact with all students under their assignment; logging/tracking individual student progress/records; flexible work hours including evening and weekend and planning and tracking relevant budgets and expenditures. The Student Success Coordinators will meet with students to create an academic engagement plan, set goals, and share resources to help students achieve their objectives within and beyond the classroom environment. The Student Success Coordinators will provide leadership in the Student Success Program through outreach to students and campus partners. This position is located on the COS Tulare Campus. The Tulare Campus houses the Agriculture and Applied Technology & Trades pathways (12 Agriculture and 11 Trades areas with 19 degrees and 44 certificates). The coordinator will support students in a wide range of majors as well as the specific programs mentioned above. This position is assigned to the Tulare Campus and is a full-time 12-month position.
