The Student Success Coach is responsible for providing appropriate academic and transitional support to first-year students applicable to all aspects of the student's life tasks: academic, personal, social, and career. The Student Success Coach is responsible for a specific academic area and advising function. The candidate selected for these positions will address the unique needs of first-year students by providing holistic/pro-active opportunities, academic support/advising, and transition support. Facilitators will also assist in the implementation of programs and services designed to promote academic, personal, and social/emotional success, engagement, and retention of first-year students. This is a full-time position that requires evening and weekend obligations. The ideal candidate will have knowledge about the best practices in college transition/retention, and late adolescent development - including social and emotional development, as well as experience working with this age group.
