About The Position

The Student Success Advocate is responsible for supporting students in achieving academic and personal success. This role involves working closely with students, parents, and school staff to identify needs, develop strategies, and provide resources. The position is based at Sunrise Mountain High School and operates on a 9-month/8-hour schedule.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience working with students or in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications.
  • Completion of the full seven-year work history, including periods of unemployment, in the 'Experience and Credential' section of the application.
  • Attached required documents as listed in the job description.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience in counseling or social work.
  • Knowledge of student support programs and resources.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to students to foster academic and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to address student needs and progress.
  • Work with school staff, including teachers and administrators, to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Identify students who may be at risk academically or socially and implement intervention strategies.
  • Connect students and families with appropriate school and community resources.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.
