About The Position

Florida SouthWestern State College is seeking a Student Success Advisor II for the School of Nursing. This role provides support and advising to students, making referrals to college resources to promote student success. The advisor aids in student decision-making, aligning with college policies and mission, and focuses on student development, retention, and completion. This position is responsible for supporting programs, managing all program data, assessment, and state and national reporting data through the College’s data management systems.

Requirements

• Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education preferably in counseling, education, social field, or related discipline.
• One (1) year of full time professional related work experience.
• Demonstrated experience in qualitative and quantitative data analysis with a profound understanding of program assessment and evaluation.
• Demonstrated understanding of Florida Department of Education and national programmatic accreditation agencies rules, regulations, and guidelines.
• Personal and educational philosophy compatible with the goals, objectives and missions of Florida SouthWestern State College.
• Demonstrated experience using a personal computer, office software such as MS Office and electronic mail.

Responsibilities

• Provides support and advising to School of Allied Health students.
• Makes appropriate referrals to College resources to promote student success.
• Aids student decision making by providing options that are in the best interest of the student’s development, retention and completion, which are in accordance with College policies, procedures, and mission.
• Supports programs and focuses on student success for the School or Division.
• Manages all program data, assessment and state and national reporting data through the College’s data management systems.
