About The Position

Support Human Ecology undergraduate student experience by developing and supporting programmatic extra-curricular initiatives such as Co-Create research and evaluation experiences in the field, days of service and in-the-field/ nonprofit site visits, alumni + current student networking and mentorship programming, refining student-focused events, and working with the Executive Director of the CommNS and the Director of OSP to continue to explore opportunities for students to interface and network with industry partners and find pathways to internship and employment opportunities. Ultimately, this work in the limited term of employment will establish a right-sized approach and slate of programming through which the CommNS to support, enhance, and grow student-focused program on an ongoing basis. Support CommNS stakeholder engagement and alumni network-building and support through events, stewardship, and other activities. This role will provide targeted support to maintain and nurture the new CommNS Community Fellow Program, CommNS Affiliate and Alumni networks, its Steering Committee, its Advisory Board, and its coalition-based efforts. Additionally, this role will work with the Executive Director, the Operations Coordinator, and the SoHE Office of Strategic Partnerships to develop new and potentially high-impact organizational partners, champions, and donors. Efforts focused on these "high-touch" stakeholders will advance the CommNS relationships and contribute to a long-term CommNS strategy to build sustainable support of and from a growing network of important collaborators and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Demonstrated working knowledge with undergraduate and graduate education in a university setting – including curricular and extra-curricular activities.
• Professional experience and strong demonstrated skills in facilitation, managing stakeholder relations, development, and stewardship.
• Demonstrated skills and/or professional work experience involving community-engaged research activities and service learning.

Nice To Haves

• Relevant professional experience and/or formal education in human services & civil society and community and nonprofit (third sector) studies, and human development and families.

Responsibilities

• May exercise supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 FTE or equivalent employees
• Serves as the program or unit liaison to internal and external stakeholder groups
• Schedules logistics and secures resources to support the operational plans of the program or unit
• Plans, organizes, administers, and manages processes and operations related to assigned area(s) of responsibility
• May monitor the program budget and approve expenditures
• Advises and enforces Institution policies related to services in Student Affairs
• Monitors, evaluates, and modifies processes, procedures, and/or standards, ensuring alignment with the Institution's mission, values, goals, and objectives, as well as all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
