About The Position

ACAGJ is a growing school of over 200 students that offers grades K-9 for the 2024-45 with plans to expand to K-12 by adding one grade per year and is looking to grow our student services team. Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, and the ability to effectively articulate information and issues

  • Willingness to complete other related duties as requested

Responsibilities

  • Work with individual or small groups of students who are at-risk to provide educational interventions and progress monitoring, including students with IEPs, 504 plans, or ALPs.
  • Implement small group/individual intervention instruction, progress monitoring, and other activities related to reading support.
  • Attend team/parent meetings as required; provide input to teams regarding student academic strengths and weaknesses.
  • Maintain data-based documentation of continuous monitoring of student performance and progress during interventions.
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as requested by the Headmaster or Student Services Coordinator.
  • Provide focused accommodations for a few students whose needs require continual or ongoing adult supervision and support.
  • Facilitate communication about students with disabilities between General Education and Special Education Teachers.
  • Provide classical pedagogical support to students with disabilities in line with the school's mission and the IEP.
  • Support teachers and students by working to meet students' individual needs
  • Assist with standardized testing and progress monitoring
  • Build strong relationships with students, staff, and families
