About The Position

The Student Services Coordinator is responsible for providing supportive services to students by managing student resources available off and on campus, coordinating of social and recreational activities in the year, supervision of student campus organizations, and other academic and non-academic activities.

Requirements

  • Associates degree required.
  • At least three years’ experience in education field.
  • Strong Computer Skills and Microsoft Office Suite
  • 2+ years of industry work experience directly related to coaching students on campus and online, student retention

  • Knowledge of Proprietary Education industry is extremely beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate student success by defining, coordinating and implementing proactive retention strategies that help students stay on track to fulfill their educational goals.
  • Engages in New Student Orientation, events, and scheduled meetings as requested.
  • Plans orientation workshops and other activities for incoming and current students.
  • Ensures the campus is in compliance with institution wide events, required guest speakers and other activities to include: Constitution Day Activities, Bullying Awareness Activities, Domestic Violence Awareness Activities, Suicide Prevention Activities and other NorthbridgeCares program events in the year.
  • Provides the necessary resources needed for students which includes: orientation, advisement and referrals
  • Develops programs with the campus leadership that meet the advising related needs of all students that impact student retention and success.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date records and submit Tutoring Reports and Student Services Monthly Calendar and assessment reports as indicated by the Dean of Academic Affairs and/or the Executive Director
  • Provides leadership that motivates and creates a positive environment within the student body by chairing the student clubs, associations and other extracurricular activities which are regulated by academic, fiscal, administrative principles and procedures.
  • Assesses all attendance and retention results, using the National University College Retention Model in order to create programs and events that contribute to students’ persistence and addresses their Social, Academic, Environmental and Emotional needs.
  • Participates in the planning of the annual graduation ceremony.
  • Organizes student awards and ceremonies.
  • Uses the resources available to identify potential dropouts and coach them through their issue. The Student Services Coordinator will contact students identified as at risk and schedule coaching or advising sessions to offer support, information, resources and referrals.
