About The Position

The Student Services Coordinator at PUC Nueva Esperanza Charter Academy is responsible for developing, organizing, and supporting the school community to ensure students graduate with the commitment and focus needed for success. This role involves planning, organizing, supervising, and participating in the school office’s administrative operations to relieve administrators of routine responsibilities. The ideal candidate is passionate about the PUC Schools mission and demonstrates leadership, reflection, and collaboration to ensure student success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, or equivalent training and experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year in an administrative support capacity in an office environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Must be flexible and team-oriented.
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • Required to bend, sit, stand, squat, stoop, walk, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms at shoulder level or below.
  • Always required to wear the appropriate safety equipment for the task.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate student appreciation days and co-curricular activities.
  • Assist in creating newsletters for students about campus events.
  • Serve as an advisor to the Student Council and Community Service Program.
  • Coordinate with administration to ensure completion of community service hours and provide opportunities for students.
  • Assist in preventing, evaluating, and resolving student inquiries, issues, and problems in compliance with policy, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Build relationships with students through classroom and unstructured school time interactions.
  • Conduct investigations for incidents involving students, including collecting statements and reviewing footage.
  • Maintain frequent contact with staff and families to communicate student growth, progress, and behavior supports.
  • Understand the internal ladder of support for students and the student discipline process.
  • Support students and families by scheduling and conducting Family Behavior Meetings and Internal Discipline Review Hearings.
  • Create behavior Growth Plans for students using Restorative Justice Practices.
  • Partner with other departments to coordinate programs assisting students with academic and personal issues.
  • Collaborate with administration to coordinate student programs, including planning weekly meetings and creating events like job fairs and family nights.
  • Increase student participation in programs.
  • Lead the supervision team to ensure coverage in supervision areas.
  • Create and distribute supervision schedules and coordinate restroom hall passes.
  • Assist the academic team by assessing trends and developing plans to resolve concerns.
  • Assist administration in student engagement efforts by providing services to support the student body.
  • Attend and complete all required training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
