Position Overview The Student Services & Activities Coordinator supports the daily experience of international language students at LCI Language School Vancouver. Working under the supervision of the Student Services team, this role combines front-facing student support with hands-on event coordination. The position is ideal for a motivated individual looking to develop professional skills in an international education environment.

Requirements

  • Friendly, approachable, and comfortable interacting with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Strong verbal communication skills in English
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently when needed
  • Basic computer skills (email, Google Workspace or Microsoft Office)
  • Genuine interest in international education and student engagement

Responsibilities

  • Welcome new students upon arrival and assist with orientation procedures
  • Serve as a first point of contact for student inquiries at the front desk or welcome area
  • Provide basic guidance on school policies, schedules, and campus resources
  • Support students in navigating local services (transportation, banking, healthcare referrals)
  • Help maintain student files and update records as directed by the Student Services team
  • Assist with emergency contact procedures and escalate issues to the appropriate staff member
  • Help plan and execute the weekly student activities calendar (outings, socials, cultural events)
  • Coordinate logistics for on-campus and off-campus events including materials, bookings, and communication
  • Promote upcoming activities through flyers, bulletin boards, and student WhatsApp/group channels
  • Accompany student groups on excursions and ensure a safe, enjoyable experience
  • Collect student feedback after events and report findings to the activities coordinator
  • Support the creation of photos and social content (Instagram, etc.) during events as needed
  • Assist with printing, organizing, and distributing student materials (welcome packs, timetables)
  • Maintain activity sign-up sheets and attendance tracking
  • Support the team with any other operational tasks as assigned
