About The Position
The Department of Materials Science and Engineering in the College of Earth and Mineral Science is seeking applicants for a part-time job of student researcher in the Almishal Research Group. The successful candidate will assist in experimental and computational studies of quantum and magnetic oxide materials.
Requirements
- experience with scientific programming and data analysis tools such as Python, MATLAB, Origin, or similar software
- coursework or a strong interest in materials science, physics, and mathematics
- prior research in thin-film growth and characterization
Responsibilities
- analysis of magnetic hysteresis and temperature-dependent magnetic measurements
- fitting and interpretation of polarized neutron reflectometry (PNR) data
