Student Recruiters in the Office of Recruitment are responsible for the overall management of an assigned recruitment territory, guiding students from prospect and inquiry through application, admission, and enrollment. This position provides leadership and oversight for recruitment and enrollment activities within the assigned territory, including both assigned and self-initiated outreach efforts. While each recruiter is assigned a specific territory to support consistency and relationship-building, territory assignments are subject to change based on institutional needs. Territories are evaluated and may be rebalanced periodically using data-informed decision-making, including factors such as application volume, enrollment outcomes, geographic considerations, and workload distribution to ensure equitable coverage and maximize effectiveness, in alignment with institutional enrollment management priorities. The Student Recruiter is expected to build relationships with prospective students, families, school counselors, and community partners; represent Marshall University through outreach and travel; and meet established performance standards and enrollment goals.
