The technician is responsible for performing either x-rays, laboratory tests or other diagnostic tests (ECG, EKG’s) PFT, Holter Monitoring, Stress Test, Pulse Oximetry, Tympanograms and routine screenings ordered by a clinic physician. This position requires the ability to concentrate on fine detail with constant interruption and attend to tasks for 20-45 minutes at a time. The individual must be able to understand and relate to the concepts behind specific ideas and remember multiple tasks given to self and others over long periods of time. Must be able to communicate verbally, using advanced level of vocabulary. Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with patients and families of all age groups, all radiology/nuclear medicine staff, referring physicians and residents, nursing scheduling, patient escort services and administration who may or may not be under physical and/or emotional stress. Frequent interaction with personnel in other departments and with vendors. The ability to maintain confidential information.
