About The Position

As a Student Radiologic Technologist, you will gain hands-on experience supporting diagnostic imaging to aid accurate patient diagnosis. You will assist with imaging examinations, including X-rays, CT, and MRI, learn patient positioning, and contribute to positive patient experiences under supervision. Success requires eagerness to learn, attention to detail, excellent communication, and a foundational understanding of imaging principles, with a commitment to mastering workflow and image quality. The role provides care appropriate to the ages of patients served and follows Radiologist expectations and protocols.

Requirements

• High school graduate in General Studies or high school GED in General Studies, upon hire.
• A minimum of twelve months of education in a JRCERT-accredited School of Radiology, upon hire.
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire.
• Eagerness to learn, attention to detail, excellent communication, and a foundational understanding of imaging principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist with imaging examinations, including X-rays, CT, and MRI, under supervision.
• Learn patient positioning and contribute to positive patient experiences.
• Provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
• Assist with procedures to ensure quality patient care in accordance with Radiologist expectations and protocols.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and comply with National Patient Safety goals.
• Support and report identified compliance matters.
• Participate in hospital and department quality assurance programs to promote safety and satisfaction.
• Use standard precautions and personal protective equipment at all times.
