About The Position

Associated Students Inc., CSUF provides student development opportunities through leadership, volunteer, and employment experiences. In addition, the Associated Students provides campus community members with important social, cultural, and recreational opportunities, as well as, a wide range of programs and services. Under minimal supervision, the Student Programmer will provide programming support to the Student Programming Team. These responsibilities include the preparation and distribution of materials to programs and events for the department, administration of the programs, supporting the ASI Student programs, supporting the street team programs, and other clerical and programmatic support functions, as necessary.

Requirements

  • Must be a currently enrolled California State University Fullerton student in good academic standing

Responsibilities

  • Assisting students, departments in planning, coordinating, and executing successful events
  • Attends and monitors ASI events to ensure safety and to mitigate risk
  • As directed, facilitate student leadership training and development for student leaders throughout the year
  • Apply program policies and procedures, Review financial paperwork and proposals
  • Appropriately apply ASI and University policies and procedures
  • Facilitate and encourage cross‐collaboration among ASI programming groups provide guidance
  • Maintains and publicizes calendar of student events and activities
  • Supervise and engage camp participants while maintaining a safe, positive, and inclusive environment
  • Coordinate and communicate with vendors and campus partners regarding food service and special event arrangements
  • Serve as moderators and event support staff for guest speaker events, including audience engagement, event coordination, and guest support activities
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Establishes and maintains working relationships with various A.S. and University departments
  • Ensures all operations are conducted with safety of staff and customers as first priority, and in accordance with the Injury and Illness Prevention Plan and other safety policies.
  • Reports accidents to supervisor and reviews changes required to avoid reoccurrence.
  • Reports maintenance problems and/or broken and unsafe equipment to the appropriate party or supervisor immediately
