About The Position
Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a student employee to fill the role of Penmen Productions Broadcaster for its Campus location. Penmen Productions is the university's athletics video entity, responsible for video streaming, video features, video replay, and managing relationships with local and television providers. The department is known for its live online video streaming, video features, and live game broadcasts.
Requirements
- Enrollment in an Undergraduate or Graduate Day program at SNHU
- A basic knowledge of sports
- The ability to talk in front of people
Nice To Haves
- Previous broadcast experience preferred, but not required
- Willingness to learn
- Night & weekend availability is required
Responsibilities
- Serving as play-by-play or color analyst on live broadcasts, including researching and being well-versed in sport rules, team history, and student-athletes.
- Serving as public address announcer for live athletic events, responsible for pre-game, in-game, and post-game announcements.
- Conducting sideline interviews with coaches and players.
Benefits
- Hourly pay range of $13.00 - $15.00
