About The Position

The position is responsible for mixing and applying epoxy and urethane coatings to products to protect exterior surfaces. This role involves working with commercial vehicles and their parts, ensuring their exterior surfaces are properly protected and finished. The job requires attention to detail in applying paint, repairing minor flaws, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. As part of Frontline Communications, a division of Pierce Manufacturing, you will contribute to the manufacturing of high-quality, reliable broadcast and communications vehicles.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a related program at a technical college.
HS Diploma or Equivalent
Six months related job experience or training
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Sense of sound is required.
Sense of balance is required.
Limb and finger dexterity is required.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to perform twisting, turning, bending, climbing, pushing, and pulling motions.
Ability to lift at least 35lbs.
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)—steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, vest.

Responsibilities

Mixing and applying epoxy and urethane coatings to products to protect exterior surfaces.
Inspecting all parts and units to be painted.
Applying class B and C paint to commercial vehicles and parts.
Repairing minor flaws and paint defects by wet sanding and buffing.
Cleaning and maintaining the paint booth.
Cleaning and maintaining paint guns.
Completing rework as needed.
Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Demonstrating effective interpersonal communication skills.
Regular attendance is required.
Performing other duties and responsibilities that are assigned.
