About The Position

As a Job Corps CPP Instructor, you will guide, mentor, and empower new Job Corps students to build successful careers and independent lives. In this fulfilling role, you will work with Job Corps students during their first weeks of enrollment in a classroom setting and beyond, to provide personalized guidance, celebrate student milestones, and serve as a cornerstone of our supportive campus community.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid in-state Driver’s License with the ability to meet company insurability requirements (occasional student transport required).
• Exceptional communication, motivational interviewing, classroom management, strong problem-solving abilities, excellent time management.

Nice To Haves

• A degree from an accredited school preferred.
• Previous group facilitation or teaching experience preferred.
• Prior experience within Job Corps or similar youth-development programs is a major plus!

Responsibilities

• Build strong, supportive mentoring relationships with students.
• Help students to create individualized Personal Career Development Plans to ensure student program retention and completion.
• Work with cohorts of new students as they navigate through several weeks of CPP curriculum and activities.
• Help students orient to campus, identify and help resolve personal, educational, and social challenges they may face.
• Partner with staff across all departments to maintain a safe, welcoming, and high-quality campus culture.
• Model and mentor core Career Success Standards.
