About The Position

The Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) seeks a dynamic, student-centered, and forward-thinking Student Organizations Coordinator to provide visionary leadership. The Student Organizations Coordinator will oversee, advise, and support the activities of Registered Student Organizations (RSOs). This position oversees campus processes for RSO event management, advising and support, as well as RSO travel. Through a combination of advising, training, and experiential learning, students will be supported to develop leadership skills and abilities to build and maintain strong, effective organizations. This position reports to the Director of Student Organizations and works regularly with department staff responsible for RSO finances. This position is part of a collaborative team of professionals supporting student engagement across a wide range of areas that also include student government, campus activities, orientation, and the student union.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in higher ed student affairs or event management is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in the areas of leadership development, advising, student development, and event management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee, advise, and support the activities of Registered Student Organizations (RSOs).
  • Oversee campus processes for RSO event management, advising and support, as well as RSO travel.
  • Support students to develop leadership skills and abilities to build and maintain strong, effective organizations through advising, training, and experiential learning.
