About The Position

Fidelity Canada is seeking a Student for Operations Controls for the Fall 2026 term. This role offers students the chance to build a career, develop professionally, and explore different career paths within the company. Students are placed into an area of interest and provided with a mentor. An extensive training program is offered to enhance skills in communication, public speaking, networking, business etiquette, and emotional intelligence. This role is suitable for students from any undergraduate degree background.

Requirements

Working towards a university degree with a concentration in finance, commerce, business, or economics is preferred (ideally completed 1st or 2nd year)
Keen interest in the financial services industry and capital markets
Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer service focus
Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word
Must be in a registered co-op program to be eligible
Must be available on a full-time basis for the duration of the term
Current work authorization for Canada is required

Responsibilities

Review and clear accounts potentially associated with money laundering (AML)
Analyze potentially suspicious transactions related to anti-money laundering or anti-terrorist financing (ATF) and fraud detection
Creating, preparing and analyzing statistical reports
Day to day administrative duties as assigned
