About The Position

Fidelity Canada is seeking a Student for Operations Controls for the Fall 2026 term. This role offers students the chance to build a career, develop professionally, and explore different career paths within the company. Students are placed into an area of interest and provided with a mentor. An extensive training program is offered to enhance skills in communication, public speaking, networking, business etiquette, and emotional intelligence. This role is suitable for students from any undergraduate degree background.

Requirements

  • Working towards a university degree with a concentration in finance, commerce, business, or economics is preferred (ideally completed 1st or 2nd year)
  • Keen interest in the financial services industry and capital markets
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer service focus
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word
  • Must be in a registered co-op program to be eligible
  • Must be available on a full-time basis for the duration of the term
  • Current work authorization for Canada is required

Responsibilities

  • Review and clear accounts potentially associated with money laundering (AML)
  • Analyze potentially suspicious transactions related to anti-money laundering or anti-terrorist financing (ATF) and fraud detection
  • Creating, preparing and analyzing statistical reports
  • Day to day administrative duties as assigned
