Student Nurse Intern
About The Position
Responsible for assisting licensed nursing staff to provide quality nursing care for an assigned number of patients while learning the role of the Registered Nurse. Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a college program Nursing
- BASIC LIFE SUPPORT - American Heart Association
- Ability to verbally communicate in an effective and positive manner with child/family, public, and all other health care workers.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assists and/or provides patient with personal care, activities of daily living and other basic needs under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse.
- Observes and reports patient conditions/behaviors to the Registered Nurse.
- Assists with patient and family education.
- Assists with patient discharge planning at time of patient’s admission and continuing through patient’s dismissal.
