About The Position

Ascension St. Vincent's Southside Hospital is hiring a PRN Student Nurse Intern in Jacksonville, FL. This role involves collaborating with RN preceptors to deliver direct, compassionate nursing care, assisting patients with essential activities of daily living, and mastering clinical fundamentals by accurately monitoring vital signs and observing patient status. The intern will influence care planning by reporting critical observations and test results, maintain real-time documentation of patient progress and environmental safety, and support clinical flow by preparing and transporting patients for diagnostic services and managing the immediate care environment.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
High school diploma/GED required.
Must be accepted or enrolled into a Nursing program upon date of hire/transfer and begin classes within 90 days of date of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities
