About The Position

Secure a May, 2027 Graduate Nurse position early! This program offers paid practicum or preceptorship (clinical hours) during your final semester of nursing school. It provides an opportunity to work in advanced Student Nurse Apprentice, and/or LPN or PCT roles. This experience will enhance clinical skills, self-confidence, and critical thinking skills. After completion of clinical hours, you will continue working 8 hours per pay period as a Nurse Apprentice, LPN, or PCT. This position is eligible for a $15,000 Sign-On Bonus, GN Tuition Support, and participation in an Accredited Nurse Residency Program, along with other GN perks. An option for benefits is also available. Boone Health has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.

  • SNAP requires a two-year commitment to work in the same department as a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

  • Implements direct patient care under the supervision of the nurse, promoting patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
  • Administers or assists patients with ADL, performs VS, l&O, fall and pressure ulcer prevention measures, foley care, phlebotomy, or point of care testing as requested.
  • Collects clinical data and information on patients, and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
  • Assists nurse with patient and family education.
  • Documents all patient care activities provided.
  • Participates in activities that promote safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Participates in professional development and lifelong learning, as well as acting as 1:1 patient safety sitter as necessary.
  • Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned.
