About The Position

The Student Marketing Director is responsible for driving high touch engagement and communications with students, partners, and the University. This role involves executing a marketing plan, including social media and recruitment efforts, and assisting with creative endeavors for the Office of Entrepreneurship & Innovation and the McMillon Innovation Studio. The position supports the OEI marketing team and reports to the Marketing & Creative Design Manager. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment at The University of Arkansas
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Experience demonstrating ability to plan and implement communication and engagement plans
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Experience operating in a team-oriented environment
  • Well-versed in social media and content strategy
  • Video/photography experience
  • Proficient in social media content creation
  • Great communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent time-management skills
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior role with Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programs (McMillon Studio Project/Product Lead, Venture Intern, Participant in Side Hustle Hub or Student Business Incubator)
  • Demonstrate creative work with a passion for excellence, attention to detail, and outstanding organization
  • General graphic design capabilities
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Canva, CapCut and / or other creative platforms.
  • Innovative problem solver and ability to work within strict timelines
  • Flexibility to have a presence at OEI and McMillon events throughout the semester
  • Experience coordinating and managing events
  • Ability to be flexible and open to feedback
  • Pursuing Bachelor’s degree one of the following related fields: Graphic Design, Business, Marketing, Public Relations, or Communications
