About The Position

The Office of the General Counsel and Vice President for Human Resources is seeking applicants for Student Legal Assistant. The ideal candidate will have great attention to detail and prior experience working in a confidential environment. This position involves gathering legal and economic information and data, assisting with mailings, filing, and other clerical tasks, and other duties as assigned by the General Counsel.

Requirements

  • Strong research and analytic skills: ability to locate, evaluate and summarize information from legal databases, statutes, case law, academic journals, and government sources.
  • Excellent written communication skills: clear and professional writing is important for drafting research summaries, memo, citations, and reports with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Organization, confidentiality, and time management: legal research positions often involve handling sensitive information, meeting deadlines, managing multiple assignments, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Communicate in a clear and organized manner so that others can effectively understand.
