About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Associate Dean of the College of Education and Technology, the Student Learning and Licensure Systems Specialist provides technical and operational support for the College of Education and Technology's Watermark Student Learning and Licensure (SLL) platform and assessment technology infrastructure. This part-time (10 hours per week) position ensures the secure, reliable, and efficient operation of assessment management systems that support educator preparation, licensure, and accreditation. Working collaboratively with the CET leadership team, faculty, and staff, the specialist administers system access, manages assessment configurations and data integrations, provides technical support, and maintains the integrity of student learning and assessment data. The position supports institutional reporting, continuous improvement, and compliance with university, state, and national accreditation requirements.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent certificate
  • Watermark certification or ability to achieve certification.
  • Experience administering Watermark Student Learning and Licensure (SLL), TK20, or comparable assessment management systems, including system configuration, data management, reporting, and user support.

Responsibilities

  • Support assessment, accreditation, and licensure reporting by ensuring the accuracy, accessibility, and integrity of system data.
  • Prepare reports and complete required state, institutional, and national accreditation reporting, including Title II and New Mexico Educator Accountability Reporting System (EARS).
  • Coordinate assessment data migration, synchronization, and validation to ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy.
  • Configure and maintain assessment frameworks, rubrics, workflows, and approval processes within Watermark.
  • Provide technical support and training to Teacher Education faculty, staff, students, and district partners using the Watermark Student Learning and Licensure System for documenting student progress towards meeting initial licensure requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, system procedures, and user guides.
  • Collaborate with campus Information Technology and Watermark technicians to implement system enhancements, resolve technical issues, and maintain compliance with institutional security and data governance standards.
