About The Position

This role involves supporting students and faculty within the Student-Learning & Accessibility Services department. Key responsibilities include ensuring the security and confidentiality of exams, proctoring students during testing, and adhering to the LAS Office's official processes. The position requires punctuality, accuracy in reading exam questions when needed, and immediate reporting of any academic dishonesty. Availability during midterms and finals week is crucial, though the schedule will be arranged around the student's own exam schedule. This is a part-time role with variable hours.

Responsibilities

  • Pick up and return tests to the appropriate offices and individuals or print out exams using proper procedures for ensuring exam security and confidentiality for the student and faculty member.
  • Arrive on time (10 minutes before exam time) to the designated testing location to meet the student having obtained proper testing materials in advance of the test.
  • Walk through initial testing procedures with the student in a manner consistent with the LAS Office's official process.
  • Report any cheating behavior to the LAS Test Proctoring Coordinator and Director of LAS immediately.
  • Read exam questions fluently and with accuracy when called on as an exam reader.
