About The Position

Scot Forge's Student Learner/Youth Apprenticeship Program offers high school students the opportunity to gain real-world experience in manufacturing, machining, and skilled trades. This program allows students to work alongside experienced professionals, develop technical and workplace skills, and gain exposure to advanced manufacturing processes while contributing to meaningful projects. It is designed to provide valuable experience for students planning to attend technical college, pursue an apprenticeship, or begin their manufacturing career after graduation.

Requirements

• High school junior or senior in good standing, or a recent high school graduate.
• Ages 16–18.
• Minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Nice To Haves

• Interest in manufacturing, machining, or skilled trades.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside experienced professionals.
• Develop technical and workplace skills.
• Gain exposure to advanced manufacturing processes.
• Contribute to meaningful projects.
• Gain experience in one or more of the following departments: Machine Shop, Saw Shop, Tool Crib, Quality, Maintenance, Machine Rebuild/Repair, Fork Truck Rebuild/Repair, Heat Treat, Shipping, Forge.
