This role is for a Summer Analyst to join the Investments team in Toronto. The intern will have the opportunity to support all investment, finance, strategy, risk, and portfolio management initiatives. The position requires strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and overall business acumen. Requirements

  • A 3rd year student pursuing an undergraduate degree in Commerce, Finance, Real Estate, Urban Planning or Engineering
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling), PowerPoint and Word
  • Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a high level of attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Underwriting real estate investment opportunities (acquisitions/dispositions) in both asset and corporate level structures including, performing asset and market due diligence
  • Assisting in the valuation of Oxford’s existing portfolio as well as providing asset management related analysis and commentary on an as needed basis
  • Supporting the transaction review process including the review of global transaction approval submissions, financial analysis and related underwriting models for all transactions and developments
  • Assisting in the global and regional strategic planning process
  • Participating in the research, analysis, reporting and execution of strategic and risk initiatives
  • Preparing various memoranda and presentations
  • Insightfully discussing and interpreting results, identifying key investment considerations and risks
