About The Position

This is a part-time Student Intern position within the 85160 Greater Charlotte Research and Other Sponsored Programs - Academic for Center of Health System Sciences. The intern will work up to 10 hours per week for 10 weeks. The role involves performing patient and family visits, delivering support services, assisting with studies, investigations, and research projects. Additionally, the intern will provide administrative coverage, including answering phones and maintaining computer data, typing documents, creating spreadsheets and presentations, and assisting with data entry and filing. Effective communication with all levels within the System and the public is essential.

Requirements

  • GED or equivalent, Undergraduate, Master's or Postgraduate enrollment required.
  • Excellent planning, prioritizing, oral/written communication, interpersonal, problem solving, and team skills required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team member and ability to respond creatively to a rapidly changing environment required.
  • Computer skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs duties including patient and family visits, delivery of support services, studies, investigations, research projects, and other assignments.
  • Provides administrative coverage of the office such as answering phone and maintaining computer data.
  • Types documents such as letters and creates spreadsheets and presentations.
  • Assists with research projects, data analysis, and/or creating various reports.
  • Assists with entering data and filing.
  • Communicates verbally and in writing with all levels within the System and with the public.
