About The Position

This internship provides an opportunity for students to support department initiatives and enhance the Network's system of care. Interns will engage in various activities, document their work electronically, attend meetings, and provide support to providers and consumers within Wayne County. The role also involves other duties as assigned by the department.

Requirements

  • Currently working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field (Human Services, Social Science, Technology, Research/Writing)
  • Basic knowledge in Community Mental Health
  • Basic knowledge in Recovery Orientation
  • Basic knowledge in Research
  • Basic knowledge in Customer Support Skills
  • Basic knowledge in Troubleshooting skills
  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office suite
  • Basic knowledge in Electronic E-mail systems (Google Apps)
  • A valid State of Michigan Driver’s License
  • Must have transportation to and from the Network for required offsite meetings or site visits.
  • Must submit a writing sample answering “why you want to be a part of this program”.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to department initiatives as described by the department leader.
  • Engage in activities designed to enhance the Network's system of care.
  • Documentation of work completed electronically.
  • Attend meetings internally and externally as appropriate.
  • Provide support to provider network and consumers within Wayne County.
  • Other duties as assigned by department.
