About The Position
Entergy’s Project Delivery Engineering Department is responsible for planning, designing, constructing, maintaining and operating over 16,000 miles of transmission lines and over 2,700 substations across the four-state territory. Intern Job Description: Working in a team environment to assist engineers in day to day activities including but not limited to: Designing optimum T-Line solutions based on project scoping and site visits Utilizing design software to model surveyed field configurations Estimating project costs and ensuring material is properly ordered and staged Following and providing any necessary assistance on projects in construction Processing as-built documentation Participating in various meetings to support projects, department business, and safety Working on special projects to assist in improving grid reliability Responding to equipment failures Maintaining models and drawings Continuously improving practices through automation Travel may be required for the position
Requirements
- Seeking Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil engineering majors.
- Junior and Senior candidates with graduation dates of December 2027 and beyond preferred.
- Must be actively pursuing a bachelors, masters or doctorate degree as indicated above and at minimum classified as a sophomore or beyond.
- Minimum 2.8 GPA
- Authorization to work in the United States is a precondition to employment in this position.
- Entergy will not sponsor candidates for work visas for this position.
