About The Position

Rancho California Water District is seeking a Student Intern for the Safety Division. This position is for a student currently enrolled in an accredited college who wants to focus on a career in public utility or safety. This is a temporary position, limited to working no more than 900 hours per fiscal year and no more than 29 hours in a seven-day period, for up to two years.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college
• Focus in a career with a public utility or in safety

Responsibilities

• Assist on projects and duties related to training administration, project research, safety compliance inspections, data collection, and workers’ compensation
• Perform general records management duties, including creating and maintaining files
• Set-up training materials and training essentials
• Process telephone calls and taking messages when necessary
• Provide answers to general questions from the public/employees
• Perform related duties as assigned
