About The Position

This role involves working with the MTM Admin team to develop systems, procedures, and policies for data management, assisting colleagues with data-related tasks, and networking with clients. The intern will organize existing Student employee schedules and manage new student onboarding processes, including orientation, training, and operating system access. Additionally, the intern will provide Medication Therapy Management (MTM) services through outbound calls and potentially triage inbound calls, monitor eFax for prescriber responses and failed faxes, and support pharmacists in completing Comprehensive Medication Reviews (CMRs) through pre-work and case preparation. The role also includes communicating with network pharmacies, prescribers, and beneficiaries to deliver MTM services. The intern may also assist the MTM Executive Director in training pharmacy externs rotating through the MTM Center.

Responsibilities

  • Update operational manuals and workflows based on clinician processes to improve claim completion, ensuring alignment with current best practices and enhancing workflow efficiency.
  • Assist the Director in collecting and tabulating data for reporting purposes.
  • Use data trends from software systems to support clinician professional growth and productivity.
  • Collect productivity data weekly, monthly, and quarterly from software systems for clinicians and clinician groups.
  • Analyze pharmacy data from OutcomesMTM to predict efficiency across centers.
  • Organize student employee schedules and manage new student onboarding processes, orientation, training, and system access.
  • Coordinate with interns, elective students, and volunteers each semester and summer to provide appropriate hourly coverage at the MTM Center.
  • Communicate IT/IS issues to the College of Pharmacy IT Manager and software system point of contacts through ticket requests, emails, and meetings for problem-solving.
  • Customize social media and outreach campaigns with MUSC branding for patients, providers, and students.
  • Collaborate with the Social Media and Communications Lead at the College of Pharmacy on social media strategies to engage interns through Instagram and LinkedIn quarterly.
