About The Position
Stanley Consultants is seeking a Mechanical Engineering student to intern in its Denver, Colorado office. The intern will contribute to real design projects and develop an understanding of mechanical systems across a variety of project types. These include building mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection; district and central heating and chilled-water plants; campus utility distribution systems; industrial and process facilities; power and infrastructure retrofits and upgrades; and other energy infrastructure projects. Projects vary in size and location. Work includes engineering calculations, equipment selection, system layout, and 3D modeling.
Requirements
- Be a Mechanical Engineering student.
Responsibilities
- Work with the team on real engineering design projects.
- Develop an understanding of mechanical systems for buildings, utility plants and distribution systems, industrial and process facilities, and energy infrastructure projects.
- Perform engineering calculations.
- Select equipment.
- Develop system layouts and 3D models.
