About The Position

This position reports to the facility maintenance manager or designee. The intern will be responsible for completing a variety of tasks to keep assigned areas clean and orderly in compliance with government and management directives. This role requires reliability and a willingness to work evenings and some weekends.

Requirements

• Applicant must be a current Job Corps student.
• Must be a completer and ready for work-based learning.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Qualified students will, at a minimum, have their student card.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning floors, bathrooms, outside area, and other duties as assigned in the building.
• Washing walls, windows, ceilings, woodwork, dusting desks, bookshelves, cabinets, and other office furniture.
• Collecting and disposing of all trash, litter, and other debris on grounds, streets, and parking lots.
• Sweeping and cleaning exterior steps, entrances, landings, and sidewalks.
• Using basic cleaning compounds, waxes, and disinfectants as provided by supervision.
