The Global Operations Excellence intern will be responsible for performing, maintaining and continuous improvement activities to support the Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) activities. GREF is responsible for oversight of major construction, renovations and maintenance activities at the sites; maintaining and improving insurability and resilience of the sites by working with FM Global’s engineering team to validate and implement risk reduction activities; and acquisition, disposition and leasing of buildings for Celestica’s use. The role will consist of various tasks related to project oversight, coordinating with external vendors and internal stakeholders, and reporting. Job will provide exposure to external reporting (GAAP) as well as legal and procurement processes.

Requirements

  • Enrollment in a University Internship/Co-op program or recent graduate in an engineering or similar program

  • Excellent documentation skills including proofreading to ensure accuracy of content

Responsibilities

  • Review projects details and ensure adherence to corporate standards
  • Work with FM Global and site team to implement appropriate, cost-effective solutions for risks identified in FM Engineering reports
  • Maintain reporting tools – such as Lucernex and Excel/Google reports
  • Manage SAP Requisitions, invoicing and POs for head office activities
  • Provide reports and communication to finance teams
  • Work with legal and procurement on contracts and leases
