About The Position

This position reports to the food services supervisor or designee. The intern will assist cooks and cook helpers in the preparation of student meals in compliance with government and management directives. This role requires the student to be reliable and willing to work mornings or evenings and some weekends.

Requirements

• Must be a current Job Corps Center Student currently enrolled in the Culinary Arts program, preferred.
• Must be a completer and ready for work-based learning.
• Must have their student card.

Responsibilities

• Perform clean-up and sanitation duties in the food preparation, storage and dish room areas to ensure adequate health standards at all times.
• Provide adequate supply of food and transfer merchandise ingredients to cooking area as instructed by the cook or designee.
• Assist with the student snack bar.
• Clean outside areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned in the Admin Building.
