Student Intern - Digital Health (Spring)
About The Position
The Digital Health department at Valley Children's Hospital uses technology to enhance patient care and streamline clinical workflows. Its work includes developing and implementing digital solutions such as telehealth services, mobile health applications, and electronic health record systems, with the aim of improving patient engagement, healthcare access, and the patient experience. This internship provides an opportunity to contribute to hospital initiatives in various departments, with a focus on special projects in the assigned area. There is no hands-on patient care. Under close supervision, the intern performs entry-level professional duties and gains practical experience and exposure to the Hospital’s organizational structure and services. Specific activities vary by assignment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
- Completed at least one semester of classes.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.

Responsibilities
- Perform assigned duties to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards.
- Gather and organize data for departmental special projects or reports.
- Assist in preparing written reports.
- File documents.
- Accompany professional-level employees on assignments.
- Use Hospital- or department-specific software to complete assignments.
